The Personal Development Layer

Our curriculum is designed to extend beyond the academic; it is designed for our community and wider society. We encourage tolerance, empathy and environmental awareness. We want our Pupils to communicate confidently in our ever-changing world. We focus on developing pupils’ moral, spiritual, social and cultural understanding so that they are well-prepared for life in modern Britain. We carefully plan the essential knowledge that pupils need to become educated citizens in an ever-changing world. We aim to introduce them to the best that has been thought and said and intend to stimulate an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.

The Park View Passport

Passports are very important for journeys. The Park View Passport guides our children on their journey through life and shows them the importance of key values such as courage, culture, community, well-being, the environment, humanity, leadership and creativity.

In order to earn the eight pledge badges pupils must complete the objectives listed underneath on each page. There are many different ways to do this and they can agree these with their teacher. Each objective is worth points and when they reach 100 points they will be awarded the Honour of Park View. A very special award which means they have made important contributions to our school, community and country.
