Today Year 5 met with our local government representative and AAB member Cllr Paul Wray and local Green Party Candidate Ed Carlisle to learn more about being political active and making a change to our community. Cllr Wray talked to the pupil voice team from Year 5 about how they might be able to access the park for PE and break times and how we might adopt a street – Harlech Road – to keep clean and develop new amenities. Mr Carlisle also spoke to Year 5 about why and how they can get involved in democracy and its importance in Beeston.
