Enrichment

The enrichment layer in our school gives children new opportunities to become inspired and helps teachers to nurture their talents. By taking part in performances, competing and meeting pupils from other schools, our children will become more rounded and confident individuals and take a more active role in their own lives.

Year 6 Music Transition
Year 6 had the a chance to experience the music curriculum at high school this week when a music teacher from one of our secondary schools delivered a lesson. Year 6 had a fantastic afternoon singing and playing a variety of musical instruments.

Year 6 had an amazing opportunity in June to create their own artwork in glass. They painstakingly arranged small glass cylinders to form an original design and this was then heated and fused to create a unique translucent scene.

Bikeability Training Course
Both Year 3 and Year 4 love cycling and thanks to the Bikeability training course they know how to stay safe and have fun with their bicycles.

After school Clubs
Choir
Our school choir practises weekly and performs during assemblies and, more recently, participated in the LSMA Big Sing at Morley Town Hall.

Art Club
At park view we run a host of after school clubs including art, dance and PE. This gives our pupils the opportunity to dedicate themselves to an activity or skill and develop a talent or interest in that subject. We encourage children to try different clubs and to experience a wide range of activities both inside and outside school .

Gardening Club
Our gardening club encourages children to look after our school grounds, fostering a sense of pride and ownership in our school. Below, they are preparing for a special visit from The Mayor of Leeds, an ex-pupil, who will be planting a new tree, complete with ceremonial plaque.

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Park View children had a fantastic day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and learning about why this is such a special occasion.
