Love Beeston, Clean Beeston

13th March 2013

On Thursday, 28th February, children and staff helped in the South Leeds Community Alliance Big Community Clean Up, part of the 'Love Beeston, Clean Beeston' Campaign.

We met up with other volunteers from the community including members from Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police at the Hamara Centre to clean up the area around Maud Avenue and around our school.

Over the coming months, regular litter-picks will be held in a different streets every week, with residents urged to get involved.  At the end, the cleanest street will be chosen to receive a special prize – a fabulous street party paid for by campaign organisers South Leeds Community Alliance.

Go on, get involved.  Let's make our area something to be proud of. All it will take is an hour of your time!
