Spring Term Round Up

4th April 2014

What a busy term we've had! I'd like to thank the staff and children for all their hard work. Here are some of the highlights:-

Class 1 and 2 along with Nursery and Reception children enjoyed a wonderful day meeting and handling lots of animals from Lion Learners including: rabbits, spiders, millipedes and snakes (they were much braver than me!) If you'd like to know more about their day, take a look in the Children's Learning section where you can see photos and some of the children's thoughts on the animals.

We all celebrated book day and dressed as our favourite book characters. Everyone made such a super effort with their costumes and spent the day enjoying some of our favourite books.

The staff enjoyed a training day on Circle Time which encourages the children to share their thoughts and feelings In a safe and supportive environment.

I had the pleasure of visiting the House of Lords to meet other headteachers including some from India. I'm looking forward to making some links with these schools and thank Lord Patel for the invitation.

Over 150 children had 100% attendance in the month of March and enjoyed a chocolate treat as a reward (their choice not mine!!)

I hope you all have a happy Easter  break and I look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 22nd April  - all rested and ready to learn!
