Guest Blog - from Class 6

17th January 2014

Hello my name is Humair and I'm in year 6.

Year 5 and 6 have been learning about space, news reports and about the Saturn V rocket. We have also been watching videos of Chris Hadfield (a Commander of the ISS). He has been showing us how to wash our hands in space. Moreover, he has told us what happens when you cry in space and he has told us how to brush your teeth in space. Very useful!

In years 3 and 4 they have been learning about magic. They have made their own magical potions books. I noticed there we lots of creepy looking spiders on their walls too!

Year 6 wondered who would like to journey into space like Commander Hadfield?

Apollo 13 was a failure because they should of checked every object was there and have enough fuel and nothing was wrong enough air to breath with.

If I went into space I would be floating like I was flying. If somebody was in trouble I would be like super man and rescue them .

the Saturn V was only making 7 inches to the gallon at the moment of launch. Of course, the fuel economy improves dramatically when you actually take into consideration the entire distance travelled.

Thank you for writing my blog for me Humair!

It sounds like there is some fantastic learning going on in your topics.

I would love to journey into space like Commander Hadfield. I follow him on Twitter - he tweets some AMAZING photographs.
