The Stephen Lawrence Education Standard

The Stephen Lawrence Education Standard promotes race equality. The Stephen Lawrence Education Standard was developed in response to the tragic murder of Stephen Lawrence in 1993 and the inquiry of the police investigation following his death in 1999. The work around the standard enriches the curriculum, broadens our children’s horizons and embeds a culture of equality in our schools and communities.

I am delighted and proud that we have already achieved Level 1 of the standard, and we are hoping to achieve Level 2 very soon.

The children at Park View Primary are positive about our differences and similarities. We are committed to continuing to celebrate our diversity and positive attitudes to all ethnicities.
